"Thank you, Soldier" Postcard

 A Thank You Soldier!

To those of you
fighting out there.
This message is from
those you protect here.

We really need to say
a heartfelt “THANK YOU!”
To every single soldier
for all that you do.

For risking your lives
for taking the heat
to protect all of us
most, you will never meet.

To you whose duty
has come and gone.
May God bless you
in this life & beyond.

It's important to me
that you have no doubt
I will stand with you
no matter what others shout!

Thank you dear soldier
it's you I'm proud to defend.
Please know that it's you
I'm honored to call friend!

One of my personal favorites, I enjoy just giving these to any soldiers I see.  If you know someone who might enjoy this poem, please contact me for a free copy. Be sure to tell them to come here and sign in when you give it to them so I can see how far my gift is traveling.  I can also add your company name to the postcard for you to give out from your company to say thank you to the great men & women who fight for our great country.

Donations are also welcomed to cover printing costs.

Angels Arms

Today as I lay you
In the arms of the angels
Who have come from heaven
To carry you safely to God,
I try to stay strong
And I try to understand,
Why my precious little child
Has to leave me this way.

Today as I lay you
Into the protection and love
That comes in God’s arms,
I feel my heart breaking.
I know that you are happy
Not afraid or in pain.
But I long to hold you
And see your precious face.

Today as I lay you
In the arms of the angels
I know I will see you again.
I pray for the strength
To make it through the days
To not give up on life
For the sake of those
Still with me here on Earth.

Precious child may your smile
Brighten the heavens above.
May your love shine down here
Bathing us in it’s warmth.
Knowing you are happy
Knowing you are safe
Makes it only a bit easier
To lay you in the angels’ arms.

This poem was created because of the loss of a child by a friend.  I have placed it on a postcard to make it easy to share with friends and family.  I plan on making these available to funeral homes to offer as an option to for families to give out at the funeral of their child.  While it's focus in babies & young children, it really speaks of the loss of a child at any age.
